Some friends and I are about to start on our first film project. We are writing and producing a short zombie horror film. I'm directing it.
Seeing as how you're all such wonderful people (wait for it) and all care so much (wait for it...) I wanted to share this with all of you in order to get the word out... and potentially start building our fan base early! :)

So what is the film about? Well, some gamer geeks are playing their horror campaign at their local game store when the clerk tells them about a creepy cabin out in the woods that he knows the owner rents out to people like them, and it would be a perfect setting for their game. They agree and shell out the money. But once they get out to the cabin they find something far more real, but just as horrible waiting in the woods... blah blah blah zombies attack, etc.

I don't want to give away any of the major plot points, but that's a very basic gist of what we are doing. Originally we were set to start filming back in February and have the movie completed by August 1st so we could submit it to ChillerTVs Halloween Horror Nights 2011, but we ran into some money problems... and then most of our equipment was stolen (awesome...). But now we're back on track and having an open casting call on July 17th here in Delaware. Or goal is to use all local talent and locations, but if there is anyone from the Delaware/Maryland area on here, feel free to stop by! We need talent... and if you aren't talented, we need crew still too!

If you want more information we are on facebook, twitter, and we just started up a kickstarter page to try and raise a little extra money for costs and to help replace some of our stolen equipment (hopefully).

So check it out. Or ask me more questions. Or ridicule me for diving into the film industry with an already almost exhausted genre... ;-) But really, your comments and critique are more than welcome. This is our first endeavor and we probably need all the help we can get.
