Hey, sorry to let the first comment on your comic be a downer, but I clicked through in the hopes of an interesting read, and the very first thing I noticed is that it's almost all made up of manipulated or over-painted images of recognisable scenes from various live-action sources. To start with, that's as far as I know, not very legal. More to the point though (because I doubt any company whose copyrights you've infringed on would go so far as to sue you), it's not really very compelling to read, so even though the structure of the comic is interesting, and I like the concept for the story, the art and the presentation lets it down and means that it was a genuine struggle to actually engage with.

Hey Paul , no need to apologize . Your absolutely right. The images are photo refrenced/ manipulated , which is why I credit myself with the design of the book and not the art. I am a writer first and foremost and quiet honestly just couldnt find an artist to draw the thing, so decided to experiment. I'm really sorry your experience with my work was bad, and hope that this wont tarnish my name and work to you , and this community. Hopefully some time in the near future I will find an artist to draw it in a more traditional and original manner.

Curt

Hey, no worries. Like I said, I enjoyed the concept, and you're by no means the first to use photo-manipulation in comics! It's not an invalid way of creating something, but make sure the photography is yours! It was mainly distracting because I recognised half the people whose images you used. It's a shame you couldn't find an illustrator to team up with, I'd love to see the comic given its full due art-wise. It's never easy finding a collaborator though :( Mayhap someone around on the forum will see it and like the writing.

If you can't find anyone and want to give the photo method another try though, just bear in mind that it takes less drawing skill, but a lot more effort to pull off properly: Ben Dickson's Falling Sky is a good example of this!
