Regardless, you can't see stars at midday, or fly into the future, or make time go so fast that the stars appear to time-lapse, or manipulate matter with your mind... etc. It's always amusing seeing what everyone's individual breaking point is with regards to the fantastical!

Seriously though, it's an interesting topic. Fantasy bends causality, but it can't completely break it or the story would fall apart, which fantastical events constitute a unrepairable crack in the cause&effect of a fantasy story is worth a lot of thought. The script specifically called for daylight in the middle of the night, and the only way I could think to demonstrate that for certain is to have full moon and stars visible in a blue sky. It's also sunset (or rise) in that picture, and low to the horizon judging by the reddish colour of the moon. The moon just can't be full if it and the sun are both high in the sky - it's impossible ...

EDIT FOR GEEKERY: Technically the only time the moon is actually 100% full from the p.o.v of an observer is during a total lunar eclipse, when, ironically, it's not lit up at all.
