I just had 4 of my molars ground on by a man with a drill and a mask. The feeling is returning to my face, so the day is going well. It's great to get home to read today's Freakangels, the finale is looking gorgeous! :o

It's also sunset (or rise) in that picture, and low to the horizon judging by the reddish colour of the moon. The moon just can't be full if it and the sun are both high in the sky - it's impossible for the light from the sun to fall full on the visible face of the moon if they're not on opposite sides of the sky (or opposite sides of the earth in spacial terms). In this picture you can say with decent certainty that the sun is slightly higher than the moon on the opposite horizon (and slightly to the photographer's left as they face the moon) since the top left edge of the moon is sharp against the sky, and the bottom right edge is a little fuzzy (where we can still see a tiny unlit portion).

EDIT FOR GEEKERY: Technically the only time the moon is actually 100% full from the p.o.v of an observer is during a total lunar eclipse, when, ironically, it's not lit up at all. How Fun.

Hmm....does this mean they were of extraterrestial origin? That's what I'm getting from that machine thing. Maybe put on Earth to see what would happen? Or to experience what it's like to be human?

What VertigoJones said. I'd be so pissed off sad if I were Alice.

right now it's night here and the full moon just hid behind some clouds. Seems it will be raining again today, but I won't notice since I'll be sleeping the day through. At least: I hope so.
Nice episode, and again (you did that before) a series which feels like watching a movie frame by frame. I like that, adds some strange kind of dynamics to it.
And the closer the end comes the more I fear that I will be left with lots of open and unanswered questions... Guess I will have to live with that.

I understand your explanation, Duffield, and it makes perfect sense.
Only thinking about the situation is a good mind exercise, but putting it into paper is awesome.
Looks not like a light who comes from the top, as the sunlight does, but like an ambient light, a diffuse light with no point of origin.
Can't wait for the next episode. Nice work!

What if they run to the future only to learn that humans are pissed off

1, Hell yes ready for them!,, with space guns Spock tech and genital shock collars

2, Or that their older counterparts are waiting to yes,,,,get drunk and wake up naked!!

Is it really still masturbation when it's an alternative reality future counterpart .

that's what i want to know just in case

    Love freak-angels BTW

I'm imagining some kind of Philip Glass wall of notes shattering faster and faster as the Cogs from Beyond time are revealed...

This is so good... what a lovely crescendo it's having!

(Completely missed the Moon thing. Thought it was gibbous.)

I just keep thinking of how smelly it would be. :)

It is seriously beautiful though and I'm wondering how it finishes...

I could be reading WAY too much into this, but in the bottom panel of page 2 and the top panel of page 3, the ascending ring of freakangels looks like a huge cog, slowly integrating itself into the sky machine--as if they are becoming, quite literally, deus ex machina. Cool.

I mean, back me up on this--looks like a cog, right? And the tie-in with the logo! Brilliant.
