Gosh, well, I'm a bit of a lurker around here; I love WhiteChapel team and its community of artsy intelligentsia so I never stay away for too long. Last year, I wrote and produced my first comic ever and the process was so kind to me that I desperately wanted to do it again. The comic is steampunkish and involves cookies (which I actually bake) and I find myself working with amazing artists (Ein Lee, Allison Strom) which is a gift in itself.

Here's the first page preview: http://www.flickr.com/photos/veragreentea/4993308710/in/photostream

If you want to read the whole, full-res and full-color first issue (20 pages) for $1: it's here

Thanks for checking it out, guys. There are so many of you here that I look up to so it's exciting to share something of my own.

Lovely work. Is there anyway to get the electronic comic without an Amazon.com account (I don't have one as I'm not in the US of A)? I'd be PayPaling you one shiny electronic dollar right now if there was an option.

*My brain sparks and remembers the progress postings about recipee for the dead*

    Lovely Comic it has become!

I do have an amazon so I'll check if I can buy it in NL (weird restrictions apply at times).
Otherwise I'd not mind a paypal option, seconding the Emperor's sentiment.

    ALSO DONE.

The art is gorgeous, I can't wait to read my copy...

I'm not in the US, and didn't have any problems chekcing out with my amazon account - I'm a semi-regular kickstarter backer anyway.

    Done!

Good luck, my kickstarter project has gotten... nothing. But it's also my first attempt at this mess, and we've had holdups anyway.

You don't have to be in the USA to get an Amazon.com account.

Thanks so much, Ravnos! I agree, Kickstarter is a bit of a maze at first, but it's not impossible to get a hang of it. I've definitely learned a bit since my first attempt!

By the way, between now and July 26th, I'm letting people come up with their own names for shops in the Recipes for the Dead world. I always liked it when other creators allow their fans to participate in their art and that way involve themselves in the history of the story. I thought it could be cool if I could try that with Recipes, there's definitely room for many creative minds to explore.

If you're into it, here's the post on it: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/68620062/recipes-for-the-dead-issue-2-an-indie-comic-book-b/posts/99691

You do have to be a backer to participate, but a $1 is more than enough to do so.

So I after facepalmed myself for not realizing amazon referred to kickstarter, I pledged.
I am now a happy owner of a digital first issue of Recipes for the Dead. :)
