    Second moon may have collided with our moon, say scientists.

    Researchers put forward the idea after computer simulations found that a collision with a second, sibling moon in Earth's early history might solve the longstanding puzzle of why the two faces of the moon differ so dramatically.

    While the near side, which always faces the Earth, is low-lying and relatively flat, the far side is high and mountainous, with a crust tens of kilometres thicker.

    The idea builds on what planetary scientists call the "big impact" model of the moon, in which a planet the size of Mars slammed into the Earth in the early days of the solar system and knocked out a vast shower of rocky debris, which later coalesced as the moon.

    Disclaimer: I'm doing some work for the guy behind this campaign. But it's quite cool, so I thought I'd share.

    Find a Fountain Website - Find free fresh drinking water in the UK.

    This is a handy website that lets anyone key in their location and it shows them where the nearest free fresh drinking water sources. Mobile optimised site too. Not GPS linked yet, but coming soon.

    Also - if you know of a fountain or drinking water source that's not on there already, you can upload it yourself and get a free collapsible water bottle thingy (as seen failing miserably to get investment on Dragon's Den and having the grumpy scottish one that likes paying to get people's arms broken ranting about how much he hated it) as a reward.

    It's a bit of a firstworldproblem that we have plenty of free sources of fresh water that no one's using but we feel we have to buy bottled water, so this is quite a good way to do something about it and is one way to reduce the waste involved in the industry, which is actually pretty hefty and environmentally unsustainable when you look into it.

    Full smartphone app coming soon too. Second phase will be to campaign to get all those cool old Victorian water fountains with lion's heads and dolphins and pissing cherubs and the like refurbished and supplied with clean safe drinking water.
