Thanks for all of your hard work and dedication Ariana, Paul and Mr. Ellis. Now what will I do every Friday. Well, I guess I can still check for new marblehornets videos.
This is truly the end of an era, this comic has been a part of my life since the first week it went up. I will not lie, I am going to miss waking up every Friday and reading this wonderful story. Thank you to the creators for making such a beautiful world for one to get lost in. Best of luck in all your future endeavors.
To Warren and Paul, and the rest of the Freakangels team, Ariana, Mark, Alana, Kate, & William, thank you very much for the last 4 years of Freakangels. I enjoyed the story immensely, and like so many other readers, it was a part of my fridays. Fascinating plot, sharp dialogue, cool characters, and fantastic artwork. Bravo! I will miss this series. Best wishes to everyone involved for "what happens next"... :)
Standing ovation for the ending. I LOVED IT, it was perfect! After all, one of your mottos is: "The future is inherently a good thing." The story of Freakangels is your magnum opus about that theme.
I congratulate you, Mr. Paul Duffield, his two Lovely, Master colorist, and Webmistress Ariana for delivering this absolute gem to us. I'm honored I could be apart of this story since the beginning, and I WILL buy that last Freakangels 2000 print Hardcover to complete my set. This was the remake Battlestar Galactica of webcomics.
Thank you to everyone involved with this awesome comic.
I stopped reading online after the 5th book ended, thinking that the 6th one would be out shortly after it all ended so I could sit down with them all and read. Seems like I have to wait until November.
I only found out about the whole project about a year ago (read through the first 4 books with eyes glued to the laptop for a weekend) and haven't missed a friday since.
Sad that it's over but, as with most things, you only really appreciate it when it's gone.
Thanks to all involved for a great journey. It's been a hell of a ride :)
Thank you Warren and Paul for the work. Thank you Ariana for this forum. Thank you Avatar for the investment.
I feel ambivalent because Friday mornings will not include another installment, but the journey with these characters in this universe was such a joy. Good bye and best wishes to everyone.
Aw, man. I'd thank Warren but he knows it already. Thanks Paul - where might we see your work next? Ariana, of course, knows we love her and will continue to do so.
@diello - I think that was more like a "on Star Trek, they'd give it some stupid techno-babble name and I'm not fooking doing that."
Favorite bit? Alice. Least favorite bit? It's over.
Oh well, at least now, I can lend it out to people and it's all complete.
Oh and Warren - nice job stealing the end of Watchmen. With the notebooks and all. There COULD be a sequel but why bother?
This was a wonderfully ambitious and enjoyable story. I dedicated today to re-reading all 144 episodes, and without the weekly intervals to dissipate the mood, I was deeply immersed. The beautifully rendered images of a flooded, decaying London -- and the characters who lived in it -- are permanently seared in my mind. I'm very happy about that.
Thank you so much, for everything. I have enjoyed Freakangels immensely. I am so sad to see it ending, truly.
Can I dare to hope for a continuation in the future? I want to know MORE. This ending just stops, it doesn't end, and I *love* this story. So much unanswered, so much left to *happen.*
It must be coincidence but whenever some phase of my life ends, a beloved series I follow and love also ends. Freakangels has been my regular fix for the last years and now it ends a couple of months away from my graduation. The comic and you guys (Paul, Warren, Ariana and everyone in WC) have been my companions and now another page opens up. Cheers to everyone involved.
