Very nice ending. Although I wonder what these guys do, standing around in the last scene. Perhaps not much.

Interesting how the story morphed from KK and the chopper, to Arcade's being flighty, to Kaitlin the copper, on to Alice in charge...

thank you to all involved for a great story, i have patiently hung around and avoided reading it until today and enjoyed it hugely as one big long story.

Thanks to Warren, Paul and the rest of the crew for this experience. It started off with the excitement of having the chance to read a new Warren Ellis comic. My glee grew as I learnt it was free every week! Then the interesting experience at reading a weekly web comic which I hadn't before and the almost agony at having to wait each week or longer if there was a skip week. The forum also led to some interesting discussions and artwork.

I also had a fangirl moment when Mr Ellis himself wrote to me on the forum! I got to meet a few other fans at the MCM (London Expo) where I worked hard on creating a KK cosplay and was over the moon when Paul told me that I was the first person he'd ever seen cosplaying one of his characters. I only hope I could do her some justice. I enjoyed seeing the other Freakangels cosplayers too. Then I got to meet Warren, ask him to sign the first FA volume, and pose for a photo.

Now it is over. No longer will I look forward to 12pm on a Friday in my office in Aldgate, just a few roads from Whitechapel where it all began.

    Thank you x

Thanks to all invovled for a beautifully told story about adolesence and growing up. The freakangles are now starting a new story where they are in control of their futures, and they did it by deciding to control themselves, not others. This is the essence of maturity:you can only control yourself. Perhaps they will lead by example with Conner's record of the struggle left behind. At any rate Warren, Paul, et al... if your future projects are half as good as this series you'll be doing well.

Great job Warren, Paul, and everyone involved. I loved every minute of it!

Fridays are going to be a lot less special.

To the creators, one HUGE thank you for making Friday mornings something to look forward to. Me and my room mate would stare vacantly at the wall as we would drink tea and get ready for work until one of us would remember and shout that it was 'FRIDAYFREAKANGELSDAY!' and run to our computers. This was one equally huge experiment, that required the same amount of effort, and I hope that you all think it was a huge success. Because, for what my wee little internet opinion is worth, you made thousands and thousands of people happy, sad, anxious, outraged, and flabbergasted every Friday for years. And you did it with six pages of gorgeous art and wonderful plot. Not a television show episode, or the new book in a series - just six pages. That is pretty darn amazing in itself!

To the people hanging around Whitechapel, I have never met so many wonderful and interesting people in one place on the internet before. Half of the fun of reading each episode was running over to the board and having a fit with everyone else at the latest plot development. It was more like a community than a forum!

I am sad Freakangels is over, but I hope we all get to do this again!

I haven't commented since early in the releases. At the time, I expressed some doubt about FREAKANGELS. In the end, this tale has become one of my absolute favorites. What a wonderful thing to have experienced from start to finish. What a journey I've witnessed.

    Thank you, everyone involved.

Freakangels has been my escape since it was launched.
Secondlife had a few builds that I stumbled upon in the wasteland and it sort of sealed it as my favorite fantasy world/comic book RP.
I'm going to have to log in tonight out of nostalgia now that I've read through to the end.

    Absolutely loved the ending.
I can't even put into words how appreciative I am for all the hard work you people have put into making this happen.
I hope the merchandise sticks around for a little while? Summer months are rough in Az, but they don't last forever.

Ariana, thank you for hosting Whitechapel and making sure things run properly around here.
Also Warren, Paul and those at Avatar, congrats on coming full circle with an amazing comic and thank you for being such a big part of my life.

    Freakangels rocked. Hells yes.

it's a kind of happy ending!

Thanks to warren, paul and ariana for laying this on for us - the new freakangels has become part of my friday (or saturday morning), since it was first plugged on comic book club.

*checks* it's been three and a half years! flew by.

and thanks to everyone who posts here for being so groovy and interesting. I've found out about new films, new books and new music, and new things I don't have a name for.

oh my, this will be the longest skip week ever!

"They were a bit crap when you came down to it." Heh, yeah. Smart lady, that Alice. Bunch of halfway idiot teenagers, blowing a hole in the world for six years... but then, if they weren't halfway idiots, you don't get a story :)

Sigh. I have an actual *complaint* about this last installment. Look at Alice's shotgun. Look at how it magically isn't there on most of page 1 and all of page 2. Look at how it's magically floating on her back in the rest of the pages. Should there maybe be a strap involved here?...

An excellent, if bittersweet ending to a wonderfully told and beautifully illustrated story.
Thanks are in order to all involved.

    Cheers, everyone. It's been good!

Thank you Ellis, thank you Duffield, thank you Arianna, thank you Avatar, thank you White Chapel.

Here's, as ever, to the future.

Perhaps that was the FAs' parting gift to Alice...they made her shotgun strap invisible! :)

many thanks to Warren, Paul, Ariana and all the rest of the crew!

thanks for giving us a great story :)

    @ mjfgates

Paul explained that he forgot to put the shotgun strap in early on in book 6 and decided to keep it that way as a running joke.

XD That's about right, although I'm sure no-one gets it except me and Kate. It'll be fixed for the trades.

I'm still kinda weirded out by the whole Freakangels ending thing, it's going to take a while to sink in I think. Thank you all for your kind words and constant support. Freakangels really wouldn't have been the same without Whitechapel. You all helped to make posting an episode each week far more rewarding than it was tiring!

Oh my sweet Aunt Harriet was that ever good. My most sinceriest thankfulness to Warren, Paul and the crew, and notably to Ariana, for being the ringmaster for this Cirque du FreakAngel.

    Steam On, you lavender-tinged wizards!
    Much Love,
