I'll miss this comic but it was a nice ending. It makes me wonder if a White Chapel comics will be in the works? I kid, but only a little. =)
I'm amazed at your dedication to the project and how you guys were able to give us six pages every week. The character designs, the details, the colouring, and writing were all brilliant.
@Paul - make sure you keep us posted on your upcoming work - your gorgeous art was a big part of what made Freakangels great. I'm sure Si would be happy to sticky any announcements you've got in the future.
Ha, I was convinced some smartarse would start a new thread called FREAKANGELS Episode 0145 just to see what happened. But I decided I didn't want the weekend to open with an eeling, so resisted the urge.
LUKE: So, what we're to do, now? Staying upright in this machine watching each other'? CONNOR: Pretty boring, I'd have to say CAZ: we could build something! KK: a spaceship! We could go explore! KAIT And fight crime around the Galaxy! SIRKKA: Why not spread LOVE around the Galaxy? JACK: Sirkka has a point! And you, Kait, can go make Quincy on Quaoar! MARK: KK's right, let's build a spaceship, find some subintelligent species that we can make our drones of,and... ARKADY: here we go again! Mark, no more of this crap! MIKI: are we to tweak him some more? KIRK: I'm all for it, if Mark insists on this KARL: Yes,do it, then we'll build a giant spaceship with a place for growing strawberries and flowers MARK: Ok. Just kidding. Let's go where no man has gone before! KIRK: Freakangels in space! Love it! KAIT: don't tell me you preferred STAR TREK? KIRK: I was spooked by Spock! KARL: you never missed a reply, I remember. Ome nighT, you fought with Kait who would see Quincy KAIT: and I won. No ome beats Quincy. CAZ: Come off it! Let' get to work! Freaktrek sails the Galaxy! ARKADY: Can't you find other names? Angelstar? CONNOR: Stop arguing, for God's sake! Caz, we're all yours. Let's begin.
Gee, thanks so much Warren and gang for telling us there's this big juicy diary chronicling all them years of history of these characters, who you've managed to make us love and care about, that we'll never get to read. e_e
Okay, the comic has been great, I don't want to complain, but you really had to go and explicitly say how there is a grand and alluring story that you're not telling us? That stings a bit, even after getting used to Warren's particularly frustrating style of hard and fast storytelling. Kind of like watching Fight Club, with the entire flashback cut out. Yes I am complaining that I'm not getting more of a good thing that is free. Probably just separation anxiety. Pay no attention to the old crankypants. You all have done a fantastic thing here. It's been lovely to read it. Thank you.
Mr.Ellis has once again, along with the more than able Mr. Duffield, created a beautiful and poignant tale of superhumans in the real world, with all of humanity's faults and failings-Friday afternoons will now seem a little dimmer, now the tale has been told. All the people at Avatar who have made this ride possible-I salute you. Thank you for taking the time out to make our Fridays more than just the start of the weekend so we can go and get pissed.! So....whats next?
