    @ Horrible Warning Si

Marvellous stuff, John - a great opening entry. Who's got the rocks to follow?

Just to be clear, in case that was directed at me, I did not produce/create that you-tube video. That was taken from the mid-70s TV show Isis which, if I recall correctly used to alternate with Shazam on Saturday mornings. I just put it here as an example of an Egyptian heroine, not as a true entry into this Remake/Remodel.

    modern-day sekhmet

Hey guys! I'm new, though I've been lurking and checking out the remake/remodel challenges for a while now. I saw this post last night and- as a huge fan of Egyptian mythology- I couldn't resist putting something together. I went with a bit of a high fashion/sorcerer route for the costume, which to me means absurd amounts of pointless zippers.

    Awesome entries so far!!

And oooh, a weekly challenge. Gonna see if I could whip up something for this. Although given my history of being rather lurktastic and lazy on forums, I'm gonna have to summon a crapload of motivation.

Wow Claire, you have the same lines as a Ms. Afua Richardson, but definitely your own style. Thanks for ceasing to lurk and starting to post!

One day I will learn how to color and compose on a computer. Using real media is just so much faster.

@Paul- Thanks! I have no idea who Afua is, but clearly I'm going to have to look her up. :)

This is all going rather well, isn't it? Glorious stuff so far.

(JohnJones - nope, I was talking to @Gnilleps, real name John Spelling.)

Hells yes, those are bad ass.

The hamster is running on the wheel and I now have an old photo for a model.
I dig this one. I'm a sucker for mythology, especially Egyptian.

Shoomlah, that's perhaps the single best Remake/Remodel entry in the history of the forum, I think the thread can end now. Wow!

This is the other reason for wanting to get in early. I don't have to worry about trying to follow something like Shoomlah's. Nice snake! Took me a while to realise I'd been rummaging in jealous awe through your website just a few days back. Think someone linked to it on twitter.

Looking at these all and the different directions, I still want to play more with the character. Currently, for example, for reasons I can't imagine, I regret not giving her a bow.
It's really just as well we're limited to one entry, for me anyway.
