    Edwin, Roo, Oxbrow- great stuff!

    I think I agree with Sobreiro with regard to Shoomlah's entry- once of the nicest I've ever seen on these threads. A tough act to follow for anyone. Wonderful lines and color.
    I may replace this image with a fully colored version later on, but my workload is getting intense this week and I wanted to slip this in before it was too late. Ink/wash and a touch of water color, here's my Sekhmet.

    Great pick, Si.

    Rooth- I'm slowly getting better at my r/r's. I'm happy with my linework and composition. Coloring's just something I need to practice more at. Love yours!

    Cheers, Rooth! I think your current spot colour works well for contrast.

    gnilleps, I know what you mean. I had a couple of other poses I considered, one readying a bow in point of fact. An R/R will sometimes tempt me to take a character and run with it.

    Wow, very nice stuff so far!

    (Skirting the rules for a quick description: modern Sekhmet is Egyptian Air Force and rains down fire and pestilence via bombs and germ warfare.)

    I've accidentally gnawed the heads off three of the House's arse-eels in excitement.

    These are frikken lovely.

    Also: welcome the mighty Fiona Staples, whose work you should be following like a shadow.

    These are amazing, and Fiona, wow.

    These are beautiful! I have a couple of ideas about this, but I can't draw for crap, and don't want to break the "pen portrait" rule. But seriously, wonderful stuff in this thread!

    Shoomlah, I'm terribly jealous of your talent. Your picture was saved to my hd about 3 seconds after I saw it.
    fstaples, your pic is also awesome.

    Everybody is producing really great work in this thread.

    Outstanding, all round. Clearly R/R is in safe hands. Great to see the new faces, looking forward to some of the old lags who've yet to represent.

    Yes, Sizer, I mean you... ;)

    Yeah yeah, got a bit of performance anxiety here, see? Soon. Thanks for the vote of confidence...

    @gnilleps…nice start to proceedings…like the streamline design.
    @andre…like the little patterns in her uniform.
    @shoomiah…awesome lines, design and colours. Sweet.
    @edwin…beautiful washed look.
    @rooth… her fierce expression.
    @lomopop…clean and crisp.
    @fstaples…wow. killer interpretation.

    I finally had a slight intermission before bed to do this….took a bit to get the look down…I kinda like it…eh…onwards, I guess.

    While not an artist myself, I want you all to know I pimped this thread to several friends who are very, very into Egyptian myth and they're loving every piece of art here.
