    all safe where I am, but brothers not allowed into his flat in hackney and another friend in croydon is keeping an eye on the fires...

    i'm keep an eye on areas hit, so far i've got ealing, croydon, woolwich, colliers wood, mitcham, ilford, hayes, harrow... not to mention birmingham and leeds. also power cuts in soho/west end.

    it's disgusting.

    A Wikileaks tweet: "Wretched media coverage on London protests from BBC to Al Jazeera. Not a single protester interviewed. Absolutely pathetic."

    Does anyone know what the hell they're talking about? Are there protests going on somewhere, instead of riots? I've read about reporters fleeing from stuff being hurled at them.

    Al Jazeera currently interviewing an eyewitness to a Croydon fire. They're apparently having difficulties getting enough people out on the street to report.
