For some reason I've always loved this Henry Fonda line from Once Upon A Time In The West:
"How can you trust a man who wears both a belt and suspenders? The man can't even trust his own pants."
@keyofsilence - Couldn't agree more, though some of Malcolm Tucker's best lines don't even appear on that page. Everyone should watch The Thick of It. EVERYONE.
At one point my previous roommate and I were ignorant to who exactly Patrick Dempsey was. Something was said, and I turned to him and fired off "Yeah, well Patrick Dempsey thinks you're a dick." We still use it every so often.
Charlie: They'll find us. They have satellites in space that can take pictures of your license plate. Sayid: If only we were all wearing license plates.
Hurley: Whoever named this place Dark Territory: Genius!
Charlie: [holds Kate's shirt that she removed while running from bees] Someone left this. Kate: It was um... it was full of bees. Charlie: I would have thought C's, actually. Charlie: [gets cold look from Kate] Sorry.
Charlie: How am I doing with week two of heroin withdrawal? Or how am I doing with Claire being abducted by the freak who tried to kill me? Jack: I gave you aspirin for the heroin withdrawal.
My girlfriend and I use this line far too often when playing board games.
Now, for the ultimate throw-away line, I've got to go with Eddie Izzard who, in the middle of one routine or another punctuated a bit of utter insanity with a calmly stated "Like you do."
Which I now use all the god damned time. Like you do.
