I think this goes here rather than London Zoo. I've been working my way through The Losers trade collections and enjoying it very muchly. But Volume 5 seems to be completely unavailable in the UK and out of print in the States. It's going on ebay for £40+. I was just wondering if anyone knows why the last part of the story is so damned hard to locate when the first four parts are very easily available?

Has this happened with any other series? Cheers

Last time I checked The Losers TPBs, they were doing new editions that combined 2 TPBs in one making the collection shorter. You're probably looking for the older editions

DC's right, the series was collected in 2 trades about a year and a half ago. The thinner collections that you have have been out of print for a little longer than that.
As to why the first 4 are easier to find, maybe the 5th one had a smaller print run.

the 5th had a smaller print run because demand was basically nothing by the end of that series. i believe the print run on the last two issues was at about 5000, which is insanely low for a big two book. ive got all the issues if you want to buy them that way...

Ah, I had no idea they had collected vols 3 -5 into one book. I had the vol1/2 book though but the local comic store sold me vol 3 and 4 separately. sigh.
    Many thanks for the info.

You might want to ask them if they're willing to exchange the vols 3 & 4 in for store credit and buy the single vol 3-5... I know that the double ones would let you save money compared to buying the in the smaller ones so I'm pretty sure you'd actually end up with a little bit of credit left over.
