    does nayone here know what happened to the homeless population? what measures were put in place to get them into safe shelter?

    Where I live in Cambridge, MA appeared relatively unscathed other than some downed trees. I fully expected to at least be in a blackout since they've often happened during weaker storms and last year's blizzard on my part of the grid.

    I hope folks in the areas more seriously hit by the storm stay safe. Still a lot of downed power lines and swollen waterways.

    Regarding the homeless: In Boston, the Pine Street Inn group added extra staff and sent out teams to spread word to the homeless population as well as providing transport back to their shelters.

    I just got power back, so now the storm is officially over for me. Glad to hear everyone seems to have done all right. Hopefully this is the worst we all see this year.
