Sigh... two more films that I now have to watch, only because they NOT ONLY star Tom Hardy, but more specifically have Tom Hardy beating the shit out of people:
    Warrior

and The Wettest County in the World (no trailer yet). This definitely looks promising--Shia Lebeouf no, Tom Hardy Gary Oldman Guy Pearce Jason Clarke YES

    @Magnus :

Wrong link, I think. (or maybe it's just that I don't get your humour)

@Wood Thanks for spotting that. My ctrl-V skills are obviously getting rusty. :)

Fun fact: bullet-proof glass works because glass is already harder than metal. Metal is soft.

from the Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows:

    ambedo

    n. a kind of melacholic trance in which you become completely absorbed in vivid sensory details—raindrops skittering down a window, tall trees leaning in the wind, clouds of cream swirling in your coffee—which leads to a dawning awareness of the haunting fragility of life, a mood whose only known cure is the vuvuzela.

    deep cut

    n. an emotion you haven’t felt in years that you might have forgotten about completely if your emotional playlist hadn’t been left on shuffle—a feeling whose opening riff tugs on all your other neurons like a dog on a leash waiting for you to open the door.

    ?kodachronos

    n. the feeling of rereading things you wrote as a teenager, a scattered collection of fossilized sentence fragments that might help complete the mythical skeleton of Homo melodramensis, which artists’ renderings depict as either a fast-moving hot-blooded pack hunter or a shuffling swamp creature roaring to itself about its oversized head and puny arms.

    lethobenthos

    n. the habit of forgetting how important someone is to you until you see them again in person, making you wish your day would begin with a “previously on” recap of your life’s various plot arcs, and end with “to be continued…” after those will-they-won’t-they cliffhanger episodes that air just before the show goes back into months of repeats.

    Pop History #32.

Shocker was Wes Craven's largely forgotten 1989 attempt at kickstarting another franchise as successful as the Elm Street movies became. By 1989, however, the semi-corporeal slasher/boogeyman genre was tapped out, and Shocker faded from sight with poor reviews and lacklustre box office takings. It's well worth a look these days as a cheesy 80's time capsule, starring a pre X-Files Mitch Pileggi as hulking electric-powered supernatural slasher Horace Pinker, and there's a respectable soundtrack featuring Iggy Pop, Megadeth, and The Dudes Of Wrath.

Is it bad of me that I'm really hoping the game comes with some toilet-brush-related special moves?

That story totally deserves a David Caruso pun something like:

It's a shame that his relationship ended when he...

    *sunglasses*

    lost his head.
