Oh, hey, an artist thread full of awesome art. Here, have some scribbles I did in about half an hour as I just wanted to get the idea out on paper. Or the screen, as that would be in this case.
Next, my entry into the current "Red Bee" remake/remodel.
@Richard Pace: Nicely realistic lighting. I can't help but find her expression slightly creepy :)
The other Bettie trading card I did for Versicolor's Bettie card set.
@twentythoughts -- yeah, we artists on the set had a few discussions about how crazed Bettie looked in more than a few of the cards and how she later had a brush with mental illness.
Richard, those Bettie Page illos are just beautiful man. Actually, everybody's been kicking ass here again this month. Great stuff guys!
I won't have the time for a Red Bee this week, which kinda sucks. I have an idea for it too.. But there's so many great ones up already I'm probably better off.
I've been doing daily sketch cards featuring characters created/designed by Kirby and posting them on twitter. Here are some of my favorites: I use a brush pen, several tech pens and Copic markers to do them.
@paul…nice Thing…like the more uneven rocky structure. @alberto & michael sheer….very nice sequencials. @imaginary…sweet red bee. @chris…looks lovely coloured. @richard…awesome pics of Ms Page.
saturday analog shenanigans and band sketches when I should've been archiving.
