Vis-a-vis of nothing, I could have sworn I posted this at some point, but there's no sign of it in the search...

    This is Perth

    @BrianMowrey

In the first scene, Jason snuck into prison to get Roy out disguised as a rather rotund priest.

Here's my contribution--I haven't watched a lot of the new "The Looney Toons Show," but I'm pretty sure this is the best thing they've ever done.

@Jay Kay: Just saw that and I agree. The music alone...

    Also, speaking of music!

Are you sure that's not Jupiter? Looks like the Great Red Spot.

@Jay Kay: Well, I've found my new wakeup alarm AND my new D&D character. Nice!

@Soviet Rocket: I think Stefan has the right of it. If not the Great Red Spot, that's definitely a supercyclone, and while Venus has big storms, I don't think they'd look like that.

I posted on the Informus thread a link to a story about a study that found that stock trader types scored higher on the Sociopathic Rat Bastard index than criminal psychopaths. Keep this in mind when watching interviews with stock trader types.

Time to put a wee little tax on stock trades so their bit-scribbling can help pay off the debt.

It's just been pointed out to me that the "trader" in that last vid is one of the Yes Men...

No, he isn't. Although that just goes to show that satire is becoming obsolete, or at the very least very difficult.

I just found a new contender for Most Garish Painting Ever.

Also: that Jupiter image is fucking incredible.

@ Taphead. Heh, you beat me to it. I am following this one, seems interesting. No reason why they'd have to admit it was them anyway, it's a lot funnier (and more scary too) if it's seen to be real.

Scientists Turn Brain Activity Into Moving Images

Is it bad that my first thought was that we can now work towards seeing the last thing that dead people saw? A la Judge Anderson?

Wouldn't that require brain activity though and a certain degree of alive-ness?

Not yet, obviously. In the Few-chewer.
