    The Meek is a brilliantly illustrated fantasy story.

    And for you philosophically-minded transhumanists, there's always Dresden Codak. Also kickass art.

    Cool art-wicked humor. Finished series but a long read. [CAUTION] Contains Philosophy.

    Vattu
    by Evan Dahm who has talent and imagination...Includes Rice Boy (completed) Order of Tales (completed) and short stories in addition to M-W-F updating Vattu (on going). Epic tales that just go on and on. Wonderful strange stories. Killer art.

    The Moon Prince A well-drawn story with mild anachronisms about 2 orphans who are delivered from a life of slavery by mysterious people and Kitiko, the Callisto Cat. Charming. Regular updates since 2009.

    May I recommend:

    Anders Loves Maria is an amazing slice of life/romance set in Sweden. The series ended last year but is well worth a read. Quite possibly my very favorite webcomic.

    Oglaf is incredibly NSFW hilarious, ridiculous, and smutty fun.

    XKCD geekery, science, and humor. I thought this one might go without saying...but nobody had mentioned it yet, so I figured I would.

    Ectopiary and Cochlea & Eustachia by Hans Rickheit, both on hiatus until January 2012. (Ectopiary has about ninety pages put up, the other one only around a dozen.) Mtv picked Ectopiary as their overall favorite webcomic of 2011.

    and Templar, Arizona by Spike. sociological sf set in an alternative present day.

    Ohhh, I can help here.

    Hemlock is written and drawn by Josceline Fenton, whom I had the pleasure of briefly meeting at Gosh! Comics in London this week. It's a wonderfully illustrated tale of a witch who lives in a giant snail. And that. It's whimsy mixed with Scandinavian myth, all wrapped up in a manga-meets-classical-woodcut style. Pages posted weekly.

    Derelict is suitably wet and post apocalyptic. It's somewhat slow paced and requires some patience, but is a bloody good piece of work. Most suitable as a chaser for Freakangels.

    Wow. Weirdly enough, I haven't read webcomics in a long time (with the exception of xkcd). I used to read them voraciously when I was in college and uni, but for some reason stopped and never got back into it. I knew there were good webcomics around (some of which I have in print), but this thread just gave me a taste of how much there is out there - it's truly amazing. The sheer quantity of quality here is incredible.

    Hum, anyways, here's my suggestions for the pot! I own these as printed comics, but I know they're on the web too:
    The Summer of Blake Sinclair a new webcomic by Sarah Burgess, also creator of Far-Out Mantic.
    Cafe Suada by Jade Sarson.

    I hope this doesn't come out as vain, but, may I suggest you guys check out mine? Maybe you'll like it. And it's free :)

    It's called Dreamcatcher, and it's about dreams, love and death. It's sci-fi/fantasy/drama, I guess.

    Art is a veeery rushed, but this was born as a bet with myself; that I could do 9 pages a week, even while having a full time job as a computer engineer. So I hope you may forgive it doesn't look as gorgeous as many others you have suggested.

    If you have a taste for '80s-style sci-fi adventure comics, Ron Randall is putting up a run of his TREKKER stories. He promises that when the older stories have run their course he'll be offering new material.

    Homestuck. It's a huge webcomic that blurs the lines between comics, video games, cartoons and music videos. It's gaining popularity on a logarithmic scale and recently broke Newgrounds' servers with its epic 13 minute flash video.

    And it seems not enough people are aware of my story Dream Life. If you're looking for a long form story like Freakangels then it's just the thing, coming up close on the first 100 pages of the total 300 for the story...

    Oh forgot to mention, been slacking off last few months, but i've posted links to web comics that caught my eye over the last two years on sequential, pretty much all of it qualifies as my best suggested reading lists - there are 4 pages of them 1 - 2 - 3 - 4

    AxeCop (as previously mentioned on these forums but should probably be listed here as well.)

    The Trenches (An actual story from the PA guys about a hapless tester. At one point drinks an energy drink cocktail and sees a coworker as a Shoggoth.)

    LFG-Laden with game (both mmo and tabletop) references, worth the read just for Richard the Warlock.

    Oh, and Wondermark.
