When you play as Catwoman you're constantly being called a bitch. Even Jim fucking Gordon calls Harley or Catwoman a bitch at one point. It's slowly toned down through the game, but it's pretty jarring and especially at the beginning. It's not done to suit some sort of overall narrative but to be gritty and it accidentally casts the game in a somewhat misogynistic light. This is counteracted by a lot of the character work and story elements later on, but getting called a bitch by every henchmen you met for the first mission is pretty depressing.

It's by the people who did the Williams and Gottlieb collections. I am so damn excited for this one like you would not believe! Classic (and kinda-sorta classic) pinball tables with physics that feel just perfect.

It's going to be for pretty much everything- iPad/phone, XBLA, PSN, Win/Mac, Android, PSP Vita, 3DS. God help me, I may end up with multiple copies for at home and on the go.

I missed out on Arkham Asylum the first time around, so I sold Deus Ex to Amazon and I'm going to rectify that oversight once the money goes up.

@Solario: Man, you weren't kidding about RAGE's ending. WTF. Least satisfying ending to a current gen game I've ever seen.

Arkham City has been Fantastic. I hit Zsasz, Mad Hatter, Ra's and Azreal in one sitting, and I love the "discovery" aspect of stumbling across other stories.

I finally got to punch Riddler in his stupid, stupid face and it was glorious. Arkham City is an amazing game. The non-Zsasz serial killer mission is probably the only time I've ever liked that particular character.

i beat all the side missions. Just need to smack Riddler in the mouth. and I need to setup xbox live so I can use Catwoman. She contributed NOTHING to the main story so I'll have to play again once I d/l her.

I really dug the sigils to track Azrael and I guess he's hinting at a future game as well as tracking down Hush after he's completed his transformation. Creepy shit. Wonder City still blows my damn mind when i go down there!

So, Sword of the Stars 2 came out. Kind of.
It's sort of unstable, and they sort of released a beta version on release day by accident, and there's no finished manual yet. And when the ship design screen asks you whether you want a Camel module or a Hannibal module, and there are no tooltips, a manual is something you need.

Still, besides that it looks rather pretty and it sure looks like there's some deep gameplay that will emerge once the manual and a few enormous patches clear the scum from the surface of the pond.

    Still, I am disappoint.

Beat the spit out of Arkham City. On my way to getting all the riddles. Great game. The gliding element reminds me of the Spiderman 2 movie game - very fluid. The combat gets better as you get better. I find myself laying down explosive gel in the middle of combat before hopping over an attacker, blowing the gel, and freezing some bastard as he raises his gun.

BUT TOMORROW - Batman goes back to Blockbuster, and Uncharted 3 comes home with me.

If you gamers who don't really care about ownership have a nearby Blockbuster - they're running a program that competes with Gamefly, and you can just switch out at the store. No waiting for mail. I love it.

Uncharted, Skyrim, Assassins Creed and then Zelda. And I must have them all. ALL OF THEM.

Most I've got on pre-order, but as I'm actually off work the day Skyrim drops, I shall just go pick that up off the shelf.

I was aiming to top 50k gamerscore by the end of the year, but as I'm only 400 short now, I suspect I'll hit that easily (I try to do about 10,000 a year as it means I'm not just playing 'only the good stuff', as part of my job I like to make sure I'm playing the average and the poor so I can learn...)

I get Kidney Stones on occasion, but I hear Kidney Collecting is the new "in" thing amongst certain circles. Circles that eat kidneys.....and people.

Started playing DC Universe Online (It went free to play at the end of October). Downloaded it off the Playstation Network. My hero's name is "Paul Geist" (A character name I've been tossing around for a while) if anyone wants to try and take down some villians.

Internaut: Gonna bring my dude back into DCUO once I'm done with Dark Souls, here. Mind you, I still don't think it's possible to do cross-Atlantic play, so it's useful to know if you're in Europe or America :)

I'm Persona_JST (They added the stupid _JST after the server merge, I was there first damnit!) in America.

Right now I have been trying to relearn how to play so if you find me just sitting in the air punching nothing, thats why.

No no no. It's not that you're air-punching, it's that you're kicking the shit out of Lex Luthor's invisible army of henchmen.

Hmmm, I guess I should DCUO a chance now that it's free. I haven't heard great things, but then again my sources are mostly people who play a rival game (City of Heroes).
