The Toronto Whitechapel bash for November will be at my apartment on Saturday the 12th, kicking off at 7pm and concluding around 2am - 3am. Menu this time is roast lamb and veggies with gravy, with ice cream and a cake for dessert. I can cater for allergies and/or special dietary needs if necessary, given prior notice.

    1) If you're driving, there's metered street parking out front, or you can use the parking station about 3 blocks down from us. If you're coming on the subway, the last train leaves at 1am, and we're a block from the station.

    2) We're going to have a house guest this time, so our couch is already spoken for.

    3) As always, smoking inside is fine within reason, but we'll have to take it outside if the smell in the hallway gets too strong.

    4) I'll be supplying all food this time around, and a couple of cases of Australian beer. All contributions of alcohol and herbage will be happily received.

    5) We're having an amusing cake supplied for dessert (no, it's not a giant cock). If you have any preferences over flavouring/icing/contents, let me know on this thread over the next day or so.

RSVP to my private email if you already have it, or at p0lym0rph@mail.com if you don't.

I'll be honest, guys, I'm looking at my current funds and the possibility of a new job, and I don't think I can make the trek north for this one. Have a couple of cold ones for me!

    @Alan NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO *continued on twitter*

    *continued from facebook* OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

But it's understandable. Sad to hear we won't be trading homebrews, though. :(

    I, however, will be there.

    Sweet Jesus!

I know, it sucks golf balls in Hades :( I'm not saying a DEFINITE no, but basically unless I get an early birthday/Christmas present in the form of gas money to and from Toronto, I just can't justify borrowing money from anyone to make it up. One day though, one day soon, beer shall be traded, and it will be good.

Oh totally. Hell, money is the reason I'm currently not in NYC, so I get where you're coming from.

    Here's hoping Alan has a rich relative or two . . . .

Augh! That lands on a Sketchy's weekend. I so wanted an excuse to head North on a road trip.

@Glukkake - catch you next time, I hope.

Stop the presses! I think I might be able to make it after all, folks!

Excellent. We won't have a spare bed this time, unfortunately, but someone else from Toronto might.

What's the deal, Alan, you win the lottery?
You can take my place for the night; I'll probably be staying with a friend.
Also, Robin, where's the best beer selection for a night like this? I.e. a shop that sells interesting bottles in singles. Does such a place even exist in our fair city?

@allana: Not quite - just managed to sweet-talk my folks into lending me the money as an early birthday present :D.

You sure about me staying at your place? Not that I don't appreciate it (I really do!), just want to make sure everything will be alright with your roommates/pets/family, as far as that goes.

    Alan, hooray!

Allana, Some of the better selections of beers in singles can be found at the Summerhill LCBO and the LCBO at King/Spadina. There's also one around Queens Quay that I vaguely remember, but I'll have to search out the address.

Alan, I'm a bachelor in a bachelor. If you're driving up with your friend again: it's a double bed, but no couch, so that's the extent of the amenities. Hrm, there's an emergency hammock?
Oh, but as far as pets go: there is a house-mouse. I have yet to trap him, so don't be alarmed if there are crunchity noises coming from behind the stove (which there are, as I type this).

Robin, thanks! I always forget about the huge Queens Quay one; I'll check that out first.

@Robin - are those the LCBO's that stock LeTrappe Trippel? Must lay in some stocks for the November bash!

@Ian, Le Trappe Trippel should be at any one of those, yes. If not, there's an LCBO by Broadview station that I KNOW has it (as I've just finished off a bottle that I bought from there...).

Allana, I'll probably be making a solo trip for this one, so that should work out just fine. Thank you so, so much!

I still haven't found anywhere that carries Le Trappe Quad. Bummer.

Quad isn't sold in bottles here.
  7.  (10278.20)
Ah well. Trippel it is then. When I'm rich and famous I'll buy kegs of Quad for our get-togethers.
