It seemed that the Great Variable bestowed upon me the fortunate synchronicity that put me in a small movie theater in NY at 11:25 p.m. last night. That weird combination of whiskey, luck, and will afforded me the opportunity to see CAPTURED GHOSTS last night, us being the first crowd to ever actually see it.

Brilliant. Not gonna review it, I might if someones interested, but a part of me kept imagining Warren in the back of the theater, throwing rats dipped in nitroglycerine at the screen.

I left the theater wondering what gods cock would taste like, and how I would make $20 stretch until Thursday.

I was there as well. Loved seeing the old man's name up in lights.

What!! I can't believe i'm the only person in Mother London not using this thread to express their joy. I'm starting to feel like a character from a Kafka novel. Is this event really happening or is it just some vile attempt to make me go even more insane?

There was a screening for this in Toronto last Friday. I went and loved every minute of it. Probably one of the fastest 1.5 hours I've ever spent. Wished it went on for longer, but apparently the DVD has 70 mins of extra material, so that'll be sweet.

In the meantime, I wrote up a sort-of review of the doc which then became an introduction on him to new readers and then a reflection on why I enjoy his work so much. So I guess it's more of a blog post? If anyone's interested in checking it out, it's right here.

And here's part 2. A brief primer on some of his work for new readers. It was fun writing these up... I wish I had room for more.
