    1) Because it's spot-on in its assessment of NAMBLA
    2) Because it's an effective piece of satirical art.

    [Edit -- As I've stated above, a) "Paedophilia is vile" is hardly news, and b) if you really felt strongly about making the point anyway, a non-visual link would've sufficed. I'm restraining myself from getting trigger-happy with the "ban" button, despite a few people contacting me off-board to that effect, because I'm aware the "anything goes" nature of this thread - especially when coupled with that most problematic and nebulous of things "satire" - can damage people's common sense and judgement. But really, it's very simple: if you're posting something which is going to repel regulars, prevent new visitors, and potentially damage Whitechapel's reputation (or even give us legal headaches down the line), think twice. --Si.]

    @Greasemonkey-Spot on assessment yes, effective satirical art..? You'd have to know before hand it was satirical. Out of context it's simply chilling.

    @Barton: It's a case for a clone PC. It has been available for a while. Actually, you can get it with a motherboard as well.

    They were also working on a built-in C64 emulator.

    I have friends who had C64 back in the day who'd love one.

    Exactly as it says, a nice illustrated rant on the future of interactive design. It says a lot of things I didn't quite realize I thought until I read them in there.

    Me. I would love one. I remember programming adventure games on a 64 when I was a kid. The ones that you got in magazines that had unfailingly printed mistakes leading to *hilarious* hours of fun bug checking with my dad.

    @barton: I still have a Commodore 64 in near-mint condition with the box and manuals and everything. Rarely got used by my sister and I, as my dad only sprang for the tape drive (in lieu of a real hard drive) and it took FOREVER to download or save anything. Little kids get bored waiting hours for a computer to do anything.

    @James Cunningham

    Whenever I'm walking around I always love to use my body in as many ways as possible. I kick open doors and slide through crowds and drum on everything and all these little things that are completely unnecessary, but I do anyway because I just love moving. And now that I think about it, that's why that, as much I enjoy all the thing I can do with my Android (which really boils down to GPS, Kindle and quick Google searches. Everything else is negligible.), I still really miss having a flip phone. I feel nothing but silly having to slide my finger across a screen to answer a goddamn phone call. I felt at least a little bit awesome every time I answered a call just by applying a little upwards pressure to the bottom of my mobile. And now that I'm thinking about it, I kind of want to downgrade.
