    Hard drive?! Did the C64 ever even have one? We started out with a tape drive and then went to a 5.25" drive. We thought we were in the fucking future (198...3?)

    @Lazarus99 - I remember taking data cassettes from my VIC20's tape drive and playing them in a boombox just to laugh.

    I can pretty much guarantee there was no hard drive for the C-64, or at least not one that saw any kind of major distribution. Floppies all the way. Your central storage was a long-ish box stuffed full of 5.25" disks. If you were attentive, they might even end up in some kind of order. :)
