@Warped Savant - It might be a little undiplomatic, but it hadn't occurred to me until last Friday when I was at a wedding where the father of the bride was called Mario.
@dnewling - It's all in the layer settings that one, the photoshop side of it anyway. Mainly colour dodge I think. There's a long indecision hell of tweaking layer nature and opacities by percents, and then umming and ahhing for far too long. If you want I'll chuck you a reduced res version of the .psd so you can laugh at how pointlessly overcomplicated I make it.

@SimonFraser I love yours too! Just a pencil sketch, and it's so powerful. I'm very impressed with the expressionism and use of lines.
I wonder what Daddy Si will have in store for us with the next challenge? There are only three days left on this one. -

Yes, the gorilla's been fun all right. Daddy Si might have us back to remodelling serious spandex soon - or maybe something offbeat again. You never know what those comic books came up with in the past, and what we will be called upon to remake. Until then, let's have as much fun as we can with the gorilla in the time remaining.

I lurk more than work, but this topic stuck with me and I had to put it on screen. I am constantly lost in wonder at the skills presented on this forum. Busy week, but I've been keeping track of the thread, and needed to do this on a Saturday night. Not the mind-expanding genre-redefinition of some of the others, but eh, I wanted to play...

Mrs T bought me Painter 12 for my birthday and I had to draw something while experimenting- right? It's a robo-cyborg-gorilla-thing. It probably has at least six guns. Probably.
