Hey all, Paul Sizer speaking. Post your Halloween costume shots here. The denizens of these forums go above and beyond for Halloween and it's worth documenting. I wanted to get a dedicated thread so that it can continue past the 31st, so dump your shots and show your geeky glory.
Here's mine; a made up character named Captain Stig Helveticus, Squid Hunter. I have no idea why the hell I cobbled this together.
Here's my lovely wife Jane Irwin as a Shieldmaiden of Rohan. She won the costume contest at work, of course... That's 25 pounds of chain mail on her as well.
I work for a circus company, and as such had several shows over the weekend. My favourite costumes were two that I did for a nightclub. Both nights we were asked to be "Zombie Pirates" as the club is called Sailors.
^^ That was Friday night (when did Halloween start beginning so early?) There seems to be a zipface meme going around, not sure of its origin. This is my attempt. ^^That was Saturday night.
This evening I was Jack the Pumpkin King for some kids at a Trick or Treat Party at a local Zoo. Don't have pics yet, but will stick them up as and when.
I dressed up as my boyfriend this year as a joke because everyone is always commenting on how we have the same hairstyle and both wear vibrams (which, btw, both are total coincidences). I had his tattoos sharpied on my arm.
A very quick and dirty Rick Grimes I threw together on the way out the door. Couldn't find a proper hat, but I did get to pretend to shoot tons of people in zombie costumes with my rifle/old Red Rider BB gun.
@gov I won't lie, that was going to be the costumes original intention, and we are from Texas. Hahaha. But when my friend Erika, who was a zombie, saw it, her first thought was - Nice Rick Grimes costume - so i was sold.
@Paul Sizer: Some Halloween I'll just have to pull out my craziest clothes and make up a character too. Very clever. And kilts! :D Your wife's costume is amazing. I want to pretend she's a Valkyrie though.
@Magnus: My goodness you did a good job with the makeup. I can't decide whether the Glasgow grin or the zipper is more chilling.
@Argos: Sharpied tats: that's dedication.
@dorkmuffin: You make a fabulous Poison Ivy. Gorgeous.
@thewaltonsare: You got the expression spot on. I'm sure your students loved being taught by a zombie.
Maybe I'll do a belated Halloween self portrait set.
I went as a nun this year, very last minute, what's in the house kind of thing. can't find many pictures but this one- We were all checking out the police arriving and talking to the pub landlord who was wearing this- not quite sure what the police made of it but they were not up for posing for pictures at all! winner for the night though had to be my friend Linda-
