    Today, playing X-Com: UFO Defense, I listened to Jeff Wayne's bizzare but wonderful rock opera adaptation of War of the Worlds. Perfect nerd synchronicity.

    I want to like OPN, but I never, ever do.

    Instead, here's a Toronto jazz trio covering Flying Lotus.
    (Both their albums are free on Bandcamp and I've been listening alllllll daaaaaaay.)

    I'm totally hooked on Kimbra these days.

    First, her singing one of her songs lives and rocking the hell out of it. (NOT sure about the dress, but that's neither here nor there.)

    Second, here she is featured with Miami Horror (love love love the outfits in this one)

    and third, here's the stellar music video for the Gotye song, featuring her lovely vocal talents. (OLD I KNOW BUT I DON'T CARE)

    @ Stoto

    How far are you? If you still live in London you should come.

    *edited to add: Risto, that's an awesome track, indeed. I have been re-visiting a lot of late 80s-early 90s stuff like that recently.

    @nigredo

    I was in Benfleet so could just hop on a train. Now in South Korea. Will be back some time in January so I'll look to head into London around then! Hope you had a good night.
