I threw together a mixtape of audio bourbon. Soul, popcorn, some creeping doo-wop...just the phase I've been in of late. Best enjoyed in Snake Skin jackets and blue moods at the bottom of highball glass.
November: "The lack of light, hollow sea, poison beaches, limousines, toothless dentists, cops that kill. My baby's got the lonesome lows, don't quite go away overnight."

Just got introduced to this little gem, by the same people who did "Bathtime in Clerkenwell":
Also got into M83 lately. I wound up buying all the albums by this artist/group/thing so far (I think), and while some of it is pretty dull ambient, two of the albums are gems (though not without low points). One of them is the latest, "Hurry Up, We're Dreaming".
Norwegian band Kaizers Orchestra is out with a new CD now. Listened to it during a drive home today, and it's got some immediate neat songs.
I don't often post stuff from my site in this thread, but this wee gem hasn't left my mp3 player since I got it last month, and it dropped today. Free of course. Enjoy!
