Except now I can see hours ahead of me drafting sewing patterns off the delicious clothes that you and Paul are cooking up.

    Damned luxurious drawings, those.

Looking good. I particularly like London under water, but then I am a Northener.

The Google Translation for the Site is OK, but it really sucks for the dialogue in the comic. To the point you can't understand the meaning of it. Here is a better translation to german. Maybe you can use it.

I'm pretty sure you a good way into the script of this thing - has telling a story in 6 page bursts been a big adjustment or a small one...

I started out writing 6-pagers, so, small adjustment at most.

i have to admit that i too am jonesin' for my next fix -- already. is it odd to say that this feels somewhat more European in flavour than Mr Ellis's other work? i was kind of getting a hit of maybe monica belluci or emmanuel beart off the female lead. it has a great fluid feel to it, a nice looseness -- you already get the feeling that scope-wise with imagery and storyline this could go anywhere. i can imagine it being filmed with that treatment like Traffic had to colour the stock and enhance the mood. very cool.

the art looks like a little bit like Josh Middleton stuff

agreed. and that's very much a compliment.

story hasn't hooked me as much yet, but i'm a blind sheep for our internet jesus, which means i'm sure it'll be great.

Late getting started today, but this is absolutely gorgeous, and I'll second that it has quite a Middleton vibe to the art, echoing Nyx in particular, and that is most definitely a good thing. Between that and the sharp dialogue, I definitely want to see where its headed.

As to the format, I think I'm glad to be getting it in 6-page bursts rather than a near page-a-day drip, opens up a wholly different structure than what I'm used to seeing in webcomics.

KK looks so tired! Which I find very satisfyingly melancholy. I love it. The art is beautiful, it really sets a mood. And the concept just hooks you so strongly!

And thank pancakes for archiving -- it'd just SUCK to miss an episode in between, like tv...

This is terrific, thank you so much! I love the post-apocalyptic thing with the water. Can't wait for more.

I prefer having digital comic material in CBR format and so I wrote a Perl script that will do this to any episode of FA. Free for anyone to download here: fa-cbr.plx

Thanks again so much and congratulations.

The heroes. The problems. The wonder. The humor. All germinating here already.

I always thought of comics as decidedly serial even within any individual issue. The content on any comic page will stay the same and won't shift around (unlike text), and you have to keep pulling the reader along either every two pages (if you're depending on the fold to stay where it is) or every page.

    Love it already.

The wings in the promo picture remind me a lot of the wings from the Artifice Clothing site

Yes, the wings logo!! Love it to bits! I'm going to violate my pristine flesh-covering with it one day, after too much whiskey.

Or possibly not enough whiskey. Its a very fine window.

WIN. That was awesome! I was so excited I actually started a review before school. It's good and I know I want more. I might be a little bastard for doing this, but I don't think anyone else has got a review up anywhere. Fantastic job!

Can't say I'm fully sucked in yet--it's only been six pages after all--but the art is amazing and I SO want that helicopter, so I'm definately going to keep reading.
  5.  (1034.99)

I fall into the "... how can you have such a strong reaction to six pages where someone gets out of bed and climbs in a helicopter?" camp.

But the art is lovely and the world is intriguing, and I've already got the feeling I'm going to be anticipating Fridays because of this now...
