    @celan Totally aposite, except for the requests bit... DJs that actually DO take requests tend to play fucking awful music, due to the fact that the people who request songs in night clubs invariably have terrible taste. If I had a penny for every time someone asked me for fucking Steps or Rhianna in a nightclub, I'd be a rich ex-DJ... The funniest one was when I last played a dubstep night, actually. I was playing stuff like Distance, Pinch and Ramadanman and got told to "play some fucking proper dubstep, like Chase & Status."

    -sigh-

    I no longer play out in clubs. Because they're full of dicks. Up here, at least.

    Yeah, sounds awful...you'll never catch me in a club.
    We refer to the club down the block as "Stabby's"...it opens, someone gets stabbed, it closes, re-opens under another name, someone gets stabbed, etc.

    Hahaha - when I worked for a liquor delivery company, there was a bar called Stags, which everyone called Stabs. We couldn't deliver anything to them in glass bottles bcause of all the glassings they'd had in the past.
