@ Joanneleah: congratuations on well-deserved recongition. Awesome stuff!

I spent 7 days over New Years on a rafting trip through the middle of the Tasmanian wilderness. It was amazing (though really difficult to photograph!)

Trying out our new camera. I was looking for a general neighborhood shot but the dead plant caught the focus.

Okay, I've made my favourites public on Flickr. I don't actually love my post-processing here, but it's mostly a product of boredom.

    Harting Down 1

    Harting Down 2

    Harting Down 3

I found a new hill to climb last week - Harting Down, West Sussex, it's only a few miles away, and very beatiful. The third shot shows the view down to the Channel. First time the camera had been used for anything other than happy snaps in weeks if not months.

@ Mr Carpenter, your sense of light is sublime, sir. What you need is a good printer, man!

@Ms Leah, your work is always inspiring. Your rapport with your models is what make your pictures so enjoyable, regardless of their state of dress.

@No Cuddle Time, I just poked through the artists thread today and you are firing on all cylinders! Seriously impressive work.

Mr Carpenter, your technicolour South Downs are glorious!

Mr Gilly, that is just plain odd.

Everyone else, thank you, you are inspiring and entertaining, more please!

Me? I went to the park and saw some squirrels...
    Isn't he cute!
    London scaley-tailed water squirrels...

You know, much as i've tried to avoid it, i think i may have to learn how to use my camera properly, this was well outside my comfort zone.
