    British variety television in the sixties tended toward the insane. Here's Woody Allen boxing a kangaroo in a 1966 episode of Hippodrome.

    (Woody was actually in more danger than he realised. Not only do male red kangaroos stand six feet tall and have impressive arm, chest and shoulder muscles, they also have middle toenails like straight razors which can gut an opponent like a fish.)
