Meh. I'd been feeling really out of shape for the past year. My endurance has taking a pretty swift road downwards, and I'm always tired and hurty. Stairs are kind of a problem these days.
but then I looked at this picture I took in October, and I feel a bit less doomy than I was.
@ Moali - I've been wanting to do this pic for awhile I was just too scared to try. Today I really wanted to do something so I said 'screw it' & grabbed my wife's chalk. I think it came out pretty good if I do say so myself. This is me at my latest field problem. Look at how dirty my ACU pants are. I think this was after a week of no showers. Mmmmmm! Good times!
@ Rachael - You have a toit body, yes. I see that from your toit pants. Yes! You are toit like a toigar. Would you like a schmoke & a pancake? - Goldmember Austin Powers 3. Sorry I just finished watching that movie & had to get that outta me. You do look great though & your pose just gave off that whole kinda Linda Carter Wonder Woman vibe. I think it's the hips. Thanks!
Hey Viol8tor; much respect for your service, and because you look like a badass out in the desert. The Bronze Colossus! Not even a shell to the chest can ruin your day...
@ Rachael - I wanted to try & do that little Blade Runner, Aeon Flux look you put up but I couldn't figure out how to do it so I gave up on that one. I'm really glad you like it.
@ Paul Sizer - Wow! That just looks amazing brutha! Thank You.
Brought this over from the SPIT thread for you all to mangle and abuse in that way that only Whitechapel can. I'll see about returning the favor a time or two myself.
The Berserker. "But neither fire nor iron told upon them..." - might be a reference to that log in the original pic though, looks like it was a piece of wood that did not want to give in... :D
The Cilice. That picture made me think about a sketch I saw on TV long ago, a sketch about some munks and nuns being happy to wear a ciliche to repent for their sins because: "that one wanted to sin now and then, was something everyone could understand..." :D
">>>I have no idea what this expression I'm making is supposed to be."
Maybe it's pride, pride in the face of reason. ;-)
The adventurer. It is 1897. You're a celebrated engineer - a hero in the newspapers - leading an expedition to the north pole using a hydrogen balloon. Already before take-off you know the expedition will probably not make it, but you keep a straight face in front of everybody, including the other two members of the expedition. Your name is Salomon August André...
