@Amalgamated Biscuit & @Dorkmuffin: Thank you very much!! :D @Trini_naenae: Cheers, thank you!!! There's no story behind this - it's part of my sketchbook for the 2012 Brooklyn Art library sketchbook project; the drawings I'm doing in it are loosely built around the "Disasters" theme.
SIZER! That's a very nice pin up, classy and sexy and incredibly well done.
Here is a large piece I did for a friend (who'd been waiting an awfully long time for it). The original is 17x22, ink wash and a mix of inks and markers for color. Gotham's Usual Suspects
Just doing some sketches tonight and realized there's a few members of Batman's Rogue gallery I've never drawn...so besides giving me something new to do, it's a quick and dirty exercise for my head meats...Here's my first Scarecrow...
@Rooth I can't seem to see your image. Might be my internets.
When I worked at a porn shop during the graveyard shift in between selling dildos and whippits I would grab nudey magazines off the walls and draw the pretty girls inside.
"pornograhpy study #465" 2 hours or so sketching and photoshopping from reference photo inspired by Paul and comicbook bunnys amazing illustration
@Initiatezao: A great aspect of your work (and I don't know if it's intentional or not) is that in you pencil rendering you have areas of erasure alongside more crisp pencil lines, and this gives some of your work an odd focus/out of focus kind of look, which is really cool. It's almost like a broken lens, which gives some of your pieces a really surreal feel to them.
Thanks for the good words, but who couldn't get a good image from a Bunny image? : )
@initiatezao…keep 'em coming! love the profile sketch. @dirtbag…love your lines. @frequent…sweet derby girl pic. @rooth..nice..how long did that take you to draw. @paul...love that pin-up.
@initiatezao - it might be a bit of a slow loader, my website is kinda basic and chuggy and really needs to be trimmed down. Here's a link to that image, just in case....
Beautiful sketch, by the way! Lovely tones.
Mojo- I think it took a good chunk of a day to pencil (months ago), and then roughly two more days of inking/washing and color. It's a monster big piece.
@dirtbag_kingdom - awesome scarecrow i dig your style @Initiatezao - i wish i could do pencil work half as good as that. would love to see your comic work. @mojokingbee - it seems to me you crank out thoses pages pretty fast
