    @Richard Pace - what? where did, oh never mind, think i'd be happier not knowing. That's a hansom looking page!

    @chris g - nice! on the nose.

    Was supposed to go out and do something fun but then sitting at my desk half dressed for the snow and warm i had fun drawing the pencils for the cover of Act 2 and doing the layout.

    Max -- could you outline the images so I can get a better idea of the composition?

    If you do get interested, just Google 'Mark Wahlberg' '9/11' and 'Men's Journal' and you'll know more than you really wanted to.

    Post removed by Sizer.

    After speaking with a few of my industry friends, it came to light that showing sketch work like my DC logos could be seen as kind of a dick move, as I had none of the constraints and requirements of the designers who worked on that project, so me coming in with a new design as I did might be seen as belittling fellow designers in the industry, and that was not my intent. Thanks for the good words, though, it was interesting to do.

    Edit: if you'd like to check them out anyway...

    I like the first version, Max. The greater amount of white space makes it feel more surreal.

    @PaulSizer - I love those DC logos

    This was my original image for the Sub Mariner remake, it seemed too much like a stealth pen portrait, so I ditched it. I'm so glad I did the alternative,...

    @Paul Sizer: hmmm. Me no thinks so. If I harboured a grudge every time some kid with a fraction of my years put in did a drawing that put my work to shame i'd have to get out of the art game. Just how it goes. If i can deal with that, the peel logo creators should have thick enough skins to be able to see what you did with a free hand against what they came up with, with all the corporate oversight I'm sure they had to put up with and take it for what it is.

    Your call of course, and you are a gentleman for even being concerned about it. But showing your interpretation of a brand logo is not dickish. There are whole blogs filled with people's reimaginings of other designers work, especially when the principle work leaves so many unhappy - only thing that might seem 'dickish' to the team responsible for the peel logo, is yours was better. Which is not dickish really, just sour grapes if so. I'll bet they are bigger than that though.

    ED: Yes, they are bigger. FYI it was Landor Associates who did the job [Levi's, Coke, etc], i'm pretty shure they would never be sweating your take on it.

    @Paul Sizer Man those logos were boss. I tried showing the logos to some friends of mine today to find you had taken them down, which may have been a step toward making them infamous. XD I'm not sure if it was rude to make your own designs and post them though, but then I don't work in the design business. I could see how someone could get upset at them though if they were insecure about their own designs.

    Thanks guys; Trust me, Landor isn't sweating anything I do. I actually have some former students and friends who work at Landor currently, and it was in deference to them and the work they do (not on the DC logo) that I took them down. I know they have thick skins and deal with this kind of thing all the time, but I also decided that I didn't want my motives to be mis-construed. Railing against a faceless company is one thing, but I dig these friends and care about how they view my work and vice versa. I'll keep it as an exercise, but it doesn't really serve more of a purpose right now.

    So, if the image is now a mysterious, hard to find thing on the internet, that means it will go viral and I'll become super famous, yeah?

    Paul -- I'm sad that I didn't get to see them :(
    PS: What would it cost to get you to create a... I don't know... company logo (I guess would be the right descriptive) that simply says "Pawar Enterprises"? It's essentially a running joke that me and another guy have going on.

    @Paul Sizer It's possible you'll become viral, if so you may want to see a doctor. It's cool of you to respect your former students and friends like that by the way.
