King Namor has the standard issue Trident of Power and seaweed beard. Since his humanoid limbs aren't the best for swimming, he wears blue rubber flippers purloined from his father's wrecked ship. He's the first king of Atlantis to accessorize with a beach towel.
I haven't had the chance to post here in months, so to stage my triumphant comeback I present to you Namor the Prince of Clogs. I'm sure a Merman half-breed would not be welcome by certain elements of society, but he does what he can to get by.
@mercurialblonde Thanks! I originally started with some lovecraft thing in an old diver suit, but during a smoke break "Freak Show Banner" popped into my head and the rest was a milk run. I like how yours is "Atlantis by way of Gautier". @Mojokingbee now I want a squid hat. @ FredG super clean, and great idea. @Evil George I would have loved watching that as an early 90's saturday morning cartoon. Awesome.
What I love about this one is all the diversity. Pretty much all the entries so far have had a certain amount of awesome. And yes, there is True Awesomeness in many as well. @FredG and @evilgeorge are favorites so far.
This also brought me out of a fairly long art slump. First pic of 2012, yay!
@twentythoughts glad to see you come out of a slump.
And inspiring work from everyone. I feel I am finally getting past a weird self imposed art block, self doubt and all that shit rearing it's ugly head.
I channelled a young Uma in this redo.
Coming Mondays to Atlantis television.
Octomom Can a young mutant hybrid and mother of eight make it in the big city without Daddy The King's help?
BLECHHH! Oh what crap they have on tv nowadays. But it would have made a kick ass early ninties romantic comedy. It looks like shes wearing a skinned walrus scalp on her head, but she is not.
You guys never cease to amaze. A ton a really great work. For some reason I am really loving @imaginarypeople. And @evilgeorge, gonna go with @dirtbag and say hell, i'd watch that right now if it was on.
Excellent work here people, though i am finding FredG's just a tad disturbing - No dog too deep? Really? Now i ask you, must we fling this filth at our pop kids?
