Tomorrow (the 6th) I am heading off to Washington, DC to visit Anchorbeard, but have a few hours wait in NYC.

I arrive at Penn Station in Manhattan at 10:45pm and would like to be back at the station by around 1:30am so I can find my way to the platform and be prepared for any possible schedule changes.

Thanks for the compliment Rachael, 'charismatic' I never hear. Usually it is 'character.' I will cop to that though, since it is true. We had a discussion about this in the resolution thread, about making yourself as opposed to finding yourself. I actually took inspiration from our dear patron saint's book DOKTOR SLEEPLESS when he made the point that no one is afraid of a cartoon mad scientist. By making myself a character or cartoon I avoid the violence in the bar room while still getting my point across to shut the fuck up. Win-Win. It works for photography as well, I have found. By simply inhabiting the role that people expect of a 'photographer' I manage to get good work out of them.

Sometimes though I take a page from the other good doctor: "He who makes himself a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man." -HST Most of my friday nights in NYC tend to cleave closer to this message. Cheers! ]]>
