Alright boys and girls. All the months of bitching and griping about not having a venue for my show is finally over and I've locked down my date and location. Woot.
If any of you lovelies are in my area I would dance a crippled little jig for you if you wish to attend/participate.

    Here's the run down:
    Lexicon: Drink and Draw!
This year we are holding our event at Al's Bar and Grill in Lexington Ky on March 17th from 5:00 pm until closing(ish). As with the first Lexicon event, you artists will be the main attraction.
We'll have tables available for you to set up your artwork and prints. We are going to get a little involved with the live art performances. I would like to see you do at least one piece on the stage, and while your drawing, we'll have an MC take bids on the art (if you aren't comfortable with this, let me know. I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable, but I will be taking the stage myself if my health will allow). the money bid on your live art can either be donated to our chosen charity or added to your total earnings for the night.
In addition, we will have a silent auction you are welcome to donate to that will aslo benefit the chosen charity.
At the end of the night I'll collect 35% of your earnings so I can pay the folk who have made this event possible. A portion of the earnings for the night will be donated to The American Cancer Society for prostate cancer. At about ten we'll yield the stage drawing area to our punk band who will be performing (still decided between two groups. I'll announce who we have once we've made the decision).
Also, a perk of Al's bar: They have some of the best locally grown and raised organic food stuffs in the area, so not only can you stuff your face on yummy, but you can drink and draw away your troubles with the likes of Billy Tackett (Dead, White and Blue, and hundreds of of my personal favorite zombie artists and a snazzy dresser), Stevie Moore (Artist, Illustrator, Designer, Photographer, Art Educator) , Dick Starr (Girls and Corpses Magazine), and Scottie Watson (Talon, Dead Reckoning, and a damned good tattoo artists at Red Beard Tattoos). :)
