Daz Studio Pro 4, Bryce Pro 7 and Hexagon 2.5 are all legitimately available to download for free here.
I can barely find my way around Photoshop but I've grabbed these just in case the 3D muse takes me some day. So far there've been no catches, such as a 30-day trial period before they hit you up for the usual $429.95, or any other kind of drawback besides the sudden, vertigo-inducingly steep learning curve I now have ahead of me.

There is a post doing the rounds of tumblr with people applauding this childish and moronic dick for his toddler-like temper tantrum with lots of added "oh she's so ungrateful, I had to work like ten jobs, down the pit and live in a cardboard box at the age of nine how dare she complain" comments.., and blaming the kid for well, being a kid. Personally I think the whole-bloody-lot of them need educating on how to be A Family.

[edited to add: I come from a crazy ass liberal background where I was not forced to do any chores or any other jobs beyond keeping a basic fire-safety level of tidiness in my room, and grew up to not resent my folks and actually started doing stuff to help them for no reward off my own back by the time I was this girl's age. What's funny is the guy isn't really wrong about what he's saying up to a point, it's just that they're all things that would make much more sense to sit down and say directly in a conversation with his daughter, whereupon they could have some sort of reasonable conversation with, just maybe, a reasonable outcome. That Ebay link is totally for real btw, the guy is an old friend of mine, and he is actually going to lose his job on monday because of bubble wrap.
