My friends: I need your help with Retweeting, embloggening, poster-sticking and generally Making A Noise.
My latest crime novel, described by our own Spacedaddy Warren Ellis as "an elaborately-tooled razor of a book", is finally available in mass market paperback AND Kindle editions, on both sides of the Atlantic.
@Beamish -- Hunh... apparently you can buy it if you live in Canada... I've never seen that happen before. It comes up with the following message: "Due to copyright restrictions, certain Kindle Titles are not available everywhere. If the country or region displayed is incorrect, you may change it at http://www.amazon.com/manageyourkindle."
@Si -- Any idea why this would be? That seems rather ridiculous.
Yeah... I might be able to change my settings in order to get it, but it might also go off of my credit card information... But hey, if Si is wondering why Kindle edition sales outside of the US aren't very good, here's your answer.
That's very weird. When the Kindle ed was first published in the UK we were getting "territory leakage", which sounds a lot filthier than it is, into US and (I think) Canadian markets. That was shut down for a while, but we decided to re-open the trickle to coincide with the paperback. Not sure why the US fawcett is open but not the Maple-munching one. Will investigate.
Alternatively, visit bookdepository.co.uk: they'll send you a hard copy from the UK with no shipping fees.
@Si- I'm halfway through 'Contract' and enjoying the madness thoroughly, cheers. Got the new one in the queue on the kindle looking forward to getting into it soon.
Thanks for the H.U. - I'll look into it. Hopefully, as you say, that's a sign they've sold out (rather than because they haven't updated the link now the publication date has arrived). The larger-sized 1st-launch paperback may still be available.
