I'd prefer to stay around Chinatown too - just wondering how much time Alan's going to have for drinking with us by the time he gets off the train, collects his bag and walks over to Spadina.

Yeah, I mean with Robin meeting me at the station and keeping me from getting too lost, we can meet up with you guys. I've been to C'est What, I'm down for trying somewhere new, especially if it fits with the pre-arranged plan.

Kensington/Chinatown then. It's about five minutes by taxi from Union station.

I'm probably going to be wearing an eyepatch. Yarr!

@Hex, any chance you can give me a call before the weekend? Need to make some arrangements for Saturday night!

May join you for last call, work permitting.

If anyone needs a place to stay, I can provide, again work permitting.

So, have we decided what pub we'll be going to?

@allana - That's a very good question, and sorry for keep you guys in suspense. It seems my plan post-NYC is still entirely up in the air, and I don't think I can spare the cash for a return ticket for the meet on the 24th, as awesome as that would've been. :/

So, as it stands I'll be heading there after NYC, so that'd be a week (or so) after the official meetup. I hope your livers are up for another meetup?

I can probably stretch to another night out.

oh no...i has to drink more...horrible....

anyway, i thought the 24th idea was to start at the hotbox or thirsty and miserable and then wander around the area screaming obscenities at passing clouds...but maybe i've been drinking's coming up though...we should sort this out....

Quick notes about Thirsty & Miserable..

2-3 doors away from Hot Box.
No tabs (you pay as you order).
Cash only (though ATM machines are near.
No pitchers (as far as I know).
I haven't been there on weekends, but apparently it can get kind of hipster-central.

Hex, they have King Pilsner on tap, which I recall you liking. Their tap selection is small but nice, but their bottles, which get pretty damn pricey, are amazing.

Also the big drink is Mad Tom IPA, apparently.

I will be there with Alan in hand, but since I'm still recovering from a sickness, I'm not sure if I'll be drinking too much.

@ oldhat - if you're sick we should go to a whiskey bar...oh that's right, no whiskey for you....

one perk of thirsty and miserable is that it's close to a lot of other bars, i'm good for meeting there at the usual time if y'all are...meaning that unless i hear otherwise i'll be there around sevenish with mexican food....

@ Ian - I live in Kensington so there is a very good chance I'll be around tomorrow afternoon, maybe you could send me an email and let me know what time you guys are headed to the hotbox. 50/50 chance I'm sitting at the cafe across the street from that place on a Saturday afternoon. cheers!

5pm at the Hot Box, for anyone who missed it. They have vaporisers in the rear lounge, but they don't sell herb and it's strictly bring your own.

Miss Otis regrets she's unable to lunch today. Also, I ain't gonna be able to make it, neither. In the immortal words of Greg Brady "Something suddenly came up that I can't talk about on the Internet."

    Sorry, chums.

Right, so, I'll be picking up some stuff for my ear and making a CMW appearance at teh Royal York today, so I'll be arriving with Alan. Anyone have a cell phone that I can text or call to see where y'all are?
