I hope everyone will get a productive and inspiring February :)
I completed and mailed last Tuesday my sketchbook for the Brooklyn Art Library Sketchbook project; supposing it doesn't get lost in the mail on its way to NY, my sketchbook should be included in the exhibition tour that will be going through 12 cities in the USA and Canada, so some of you might be able to see my drawings live :) Here's one of my illustrations in it: You can see the others in my DeviantArt account; but I also made a pdf version of my sketchbook that can be downloaded here.
@Sizer - Sweet. Are you sure you're not each other's doppelganger?
-------------------------
I realized that I hadn't really done anything since the first of the year, so I figured I should be proactive and change that. So, it's a start, at least.
Bot-A-Day 37
"...It was this big..."
A few further details through the jump, if anyone wants the particulars.
@Paul Sizer, @Raid71 & @Seantaclaus: Cheers, thank you so much for your comments! *big grin on my face now* It's very rewarding to get such a reaction :)
Also, @Raid71, I love your linework, and @NeilFord, your Weapon X is awesome!
@Raid71 Did hot topless women come pouring out when it cracked open? If so that movie needs to be made. Or are those hot topless scientists escaping magma? If so that movie needs to be made too.
Part 5 in my President Lincoln was a dick series. Abe was a jerk in fight club.
In community college I had a political science professor who despised Abraham Lincoln. This series is a tribute to his hatred. And a good measure of my progression as an artist.
raid - I would buy the dvd based on that. knowing hammer though, there would be more character actors from british sitcoms and fewer topless babes in space helmets in it than the picture suggests.
@miranda…sweet sweet sketch. @anchorbeard…love the colour and texture. @paul..poster-tastic. @seantaclaus…nice colours on the robot. @raid…wonderful stuff…Love the colour scheme on both pieces. @neil..can never go wrong with wolvie. @initiatezao…love the focal length effects. Are you just using a blur brush to do it?
@mojokingbee, no I use a layer blur filter and masking with % opacity adjustment layers in photoshop so I have a lot more mathmatical control of the depth.
