I assume that the author of 'It's Donkey Time', David Crane, is not the same David Crane who masterminded global sit-com phenomenon FRIENDS throughout the 90's?
Damn, things have really changed! In the 90's whenever I wanted to see something like that, I had to paint the graphics with my Amiga 500 and get a mirror so I could watch a nerd stagger awkwardly at the same time!
Thanks @Badbear, it was written by Juan Arteaga and published on the Commercial Suicide anthology back in 2004 (edited by Kieron Gillen and Alex de Campi)... You can read it online, people scanned it and it's been making the rounds for years now, haha
In 1955, legendary test pilot Tex Johnson demonstrated the new Boeing 707 passenger jet at a major air show in Seattle. This is the one and only time anyone has ever performed a barrel roll in a passenger jet (shitty quality because it's an old film from 1955).
@Greasemonkey - if only we could get every videogame developer to watch that and say 'this is a barrel roll, what you keep saying is one is actually an aileron roll'
It's a damned shame the original film is so degraded. Tex's barrel roll is still famous today amongst aircraft engineers, and I'll wager a large percentage of them have a copy of that photo on the wall.
