Well done DBed, Thundarr has always been my favorite cartoon from that time.

@FredG--Thanks, but as you can see, you all have various artistic talents to enjoy playing with.

HAH! I'm guessing Denver is no longer anyone's "Friend and a whole lot more". I love the gleeful look on his bloodthirsty face!

    Ulysses 31

    Ulysses, Ulysses
    Soaring through all the galaxies,
In search of Earth, flying into the night.
    Ulysses, Ulysses
    Fighting evil and tyranny,
With all his power, and with all of his might.

Great Theme tune, a light sabre-gun combo and fantastic facial hair, what more could you want?

    Hey, I'm Paul.

Bit of a forum luddite, I'm afraid (only two prior visits to such sites: ended in tears and generally soured them to me; although these here parts seem much more affable)
-so apologies if any of my netiquette's below par, in advance.
I'm assuming I've uploaded the image wrongly, too (if at all). I'll do my best to edit any mistakes, but if I fail...
    More apologies.

Got a frustratingly fragile ego to work with, so if there's any way I can bribe any of you to play nice and generally avoid
"ghastly" "talentless" "abhorrent" "eye-gauging" "kill yourself now" or anything along those lines:
that'd be well appreciated. I do have Jaffa Cakes and rum. (That's my bribe, not a disassociated declaration.)

Not much for committment, so if I just dump and run here and you say something nice that I've not had the courtesy to check back on and reply to fast enough: thanks in advance.

    Lastly:
beautiful stuff so far on this thread, folks.

    Paul

    ULYSEES 31 1680 x 1050

    (edit-
    Sorry-
the simplicity of uploading an image has clearly been beyond my capacity. I'll try and figure out what I'm doing wrong, but the image I'm attempting to upload's over at Flickr here:
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/paulswain/6924534575/
    Sorry again.)

    (final edit-
    OK-
Think that's sorted. Beaten to it by "allistermac" and his lovely hatching by the time I've finally managed the technology, of course, but I'm damned if I'm gonna start being capable of achieving my goals on time today...
    Thanks for the patience, guys.)

Welcome Paul. That's an excellent piece to open your R/R career.

Nah, you won't get any of that round here, we have a selection of wriggly wildlife that rapidly puts paid to any such unpleasantness. Anyway, we are, in our sweet ways, most civilised.

Mind you, jaffa cakes and rum are always welcome.

I watched Ulysses religiously back in the day. Thanks @Paul Swain and @Allistermac.

Cheers, @Horrible Warning Si. Means plenty, obviously. There's a double and a handful owed to you.
(Initially, in my inner voice, that didn't seem like the constituents of something so almost an innuendo. I can only apologise.)

@roadscum: Hearty cheers your way, too. I'd mirror the promise made to Si and proclaim the booze and cakes to be on me; but I fear I'm heading down the same rhetorical cul-de-sac a second time. Or severely misquoting "Withnail and I".

@keyofsilence: Not entirely sure I deserve thanks (or 50% of it), but right back atcha. Thanks for the thanks, that is. Also: so did I. Seemingly endless weeks of awesome from the broom cupboard.

    Cheers, folks.

    Hello, Si!
I was wondering, given that I believe this R/R theme is excellent, if it could be possible to extend the deadline for another week? I believe all the entries so far are excellent, but I'm also surprised by how few of them there are so far - I don't know if the people have been busy?

On a related, probably irrelevant, personal note, I was hoping to work on mine this weekend, but as my university is probably going to join a national student strike movement on Monday, I'm afraid I'll be busy getting implicated in that. I guess I might not be the only one with conflicting plans?

So, anyway, just asking :) Thank you very much!
  6.  (10494.73)
@D.Miranda, if the deadline makes the difference whether I can take a look at what you come up with for this one, I'm all for extending it. I haven't had the time to work on this either yet and some spare time coming up next week and I'd be very happy to have the chance to have a go at this myself. But then again, three whole weeks? If Si just kept this thread open after the deadline like before, that'd probably work for me just as well.

@Herr Hussein: Thank you very much! ^__^
Actually, letting the thread be opened would be good, I didn't think of that - but then again, we could just post later on in the art thread, so me asking for an extension is not so relevant after all. I guess that I just wanted to post a drawing in this thread especially :)

I'm caught again in that old Catch 22: I'd love to contribute to this challenge, but I'm piled up with work...generated by contacts established and artwork generated via the Whitechapel forums. This place makes it so I can't contribute! Damn this place, I just can't quit you!

    So, there you go.

@Santos AAAAwwwww shit! We just signed back up this month after not having Netflix the last couple years. I'll be searching through it today. Thanks! Hopefully it holds up well after all these years, and doesn't turn out like a couple things I've watched lately after much passage of time, haha.
  8.  (10494.79)
    Ok, here is mine:

I know that it's one image per person, but I was really creative this week so I made an diptych. I hope you don't hold it against me but just say the word and I will change my post.

Anyways this week I give to you the penultimate fandumb megamess crossover between: Thundercats, Transformers and... well kudos to you if you manage to guess the third show I added into mix.

    Enjoy. :)

Well I can see Ulysse 31's robot, too. And are those Bic and Bac from "Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea" ?
