I've been getting into blues and folk lately, and I found these guys. Turns out they're local, so I can see them live quite easily, which is great.

And now for something completely different but no less awesome.

You need this in your life

    Texture: I did.

Davie: "Turns out they're local, so I can see them live quite easily, which is great."

I am jealous much. I've loved these guys for a couple of years. Rarely has despair sounded so luscious.

"And people want to grow old in the cradle, when there's snakes all around in the reeds
And you ask me to fear of no evil, when your fire's all over my feet"

    Lovely.

"The climb is harder than the fall
    And you're tumbling down again"

That just nails it dead-on for me.

Okay, okay -- before it gets too maudlin up in here...

Love the future where I can see the below tweet, wonder what 'the current' is and find the stream before it is broadcast, queue it on the phone and walk out the door to take the dogs for a walk on a Sunday afternoon in Australia listening to Minnesota radio.

My show starts tonight. P.O.S is ruining @thecurrent 11-12 #enjoy

I love the whole Doomtree crew, and I get excited when any of them come out with a new album. I also just started checking out your stuff @texture, I really like it and can't believe I hadn't listened to it sooner.

Oh wow, thanks man! I'm working on a new album at the moment with p.WRECKS, who is the guy who introduced me to Doomtree stuff, weirdly! His stuff's brilliant too, worth checking out.

In case anyone was wondering, This is what the son of Hank Williams Jr is up to. Aside from playing bass in Superjoint Ritual.

I first heard Hank III on a Melvins album.

From the same album. Mike Patton on vocals.

An oldie but a goodie. What Bowie does with his voice in this track is just... I don't even... yeah.
