Working on the game. Managed to implement some features today, as well as get some actual level building done (which I have been looking forward to for a while).

I'm also making some progress on a story for the Whitechapel Quarterly, which is good. It might be more than a little inspired by the Bastion soundtrack.

It's 2:30AM and i've probably pissed off my house-mates more than usaul. Having said that, I've watched the first half of the series 'Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex', gotten two weeks of work uniform ready, cleaned the toxic wase dump that was our downstairs toilet, had a general clean of the kitchen AND washed two week dirty pans belong to another housemate.

I'm suffering form some from of comodo dragon (or as others are calling it, man) flu and the idea of sleep is both pleasing and ellusive.

Currently: Reading 'The Earthsea Quartet' by Ursula Le Guin, and hooked into the series of tubes.

Watching episodes of Homeland today, excellent stuff.
Was almost asleep earlier and my flatmate's incredibly needy and annoying girlfriend came round and held the front door buzzer down for a full 30 seconds (at about 2am). Why? Because annoying.
Got a seminar to attend in about six hours, can't get back to sleep now, time for another episode of Homeland I think.

Pretty soon I'll be heading off to my Toastmasters speechcraft meeting. Tonight is our contest night and I will see whether I hang on the the evaluation contest trophy. Whatever happens, it's all lovingly polished for the occasion.

I am starting to rock some serious school burnout. Over the last 3 days I've spent between between 5 and 8 hours each day doing math homework. I need a break, and a drink, and a diploma, and a nap. Also my wife has been out of town since Friday and I am very lonely.

I'm currently editing the list of comics that are coming out on Wednesday because the shop that I grab the nice looking list hasn't put it up yet.

    What are you doing?

Sent out a job application, read part of The History Of Sexuality (Vol. 1) and packed for a wedding this weekend.

Short day of work. Home for dinner, then off to guitar lessons. Home to do a bath and bedtime with the little one, then put the wife to bed. Now it's time for some interwaubing and what not. Another day in the life.

Just finished a solid week of photo editing, finished it off with dinner with the moms and a trip in the wayback machine via going through the boxes and boxes of slides that my father left behind that been untouched and unviewed since he died 25 years ago. Crazy to sit down with my mom and a bottle of wine and visit the 60's and 70's as seen though the eyes of a man that I only vaguely remember from childhood but who has cast such a long shadow over my life.

Just designed the Thomas Dolby US tour backstage/VIP pass that I will be wearing in about a month. How weird is that?

off to work, trying to stifle a nosebleed.fighting a general feeling of irritation with various people and also trying to recover from two nights out until 3 am in Brighton which I'm not exactly used to any more.

In short order: voice rehabbing continuing, still irrationally hating on my body in kind of disturbing ways (seriously, brain, shut the FUCK up), preparing to go on a short and much-needed vacation, and I ran 4.24 miles today.

Writing my first ever book. With a working title of Cookery For Blokes, it's a kitchen manual for men who don't know how to turn on the stove.

Just finished reading all 1335 pages of a webcomic I just found out about, and thinking about how awesome it's gonna be to have 2 days off in a row starting tomorrow. About to go back and read everyone else's goings-on.

    EXCITEMENT.

damn...spent four hours on a painting for a friend and it's turning out nice. so tired, but really fulfilled by the effort and the result.

this isn't the painting, but this is one of the quick ones i did a while back. it's only three inches by three inches. :)

I've returned from my bout of chemically induced introspection and have learned... absolutely nothing. But the anxiety and depression are gone, so I'm not gonna look this horse in the mouth. Thanks for the hugs razrangel <3

And damn, Bankara. That sounds like a box of absolute treasure.

Slowly waking up after last night's shenanigans, and now I have a cigar headache. (I realize that may sound more exciting than what actually went down, which was: wake up from "a nap" at nine in the PM, go to a friend's birthday party [which was already winding down] for a few beers, walk back home smoking said cigar. The end.)

I'm hoping pancakes and coffee will help, cause I got work to do.
