After much discussion in the photography forum, it has been decided to put together a monthly challenge for the very talented photographers here. First, here are some things about the challenge ...

1. THIS IS NOT A CONTEST. There are no "winners" in this. It is strictly a photo challenge where you present something based on a theme given for the challenge. There is NO COMPETITION.
2. You may submit no more than 3 pictures per challenge.
3. If you feel like you need to explain your work, please feel free to do so.
4. SERIOUSLY, THIS ISN'T A FUCKING CONTEST. Said again for emphasis. People in the discussion got all wiggy when the word was even mentioned.
5. You will be given ONE MONTH to complete the challenge and post it. This is the first challenge, so one month is the test time. If it turns out that people can slam these out in two weeks, the time limit may be changed.
6. Please try and keep this thread alive with both photos AND discussion. Unless admin intervention happens we should go under the assumption that this thread will die after five days of inactivity.
7. For clarification, please submit ORIGINAL photography. Meaning: You took this picture for this challenge.
8. Ideas are randomly selected and submitted via e-mail by members and can be anything from a single word, to a poem...anything, really. To send an idea, e-mail it to wcphotochallenge@gmail.com
