@Allana My favourites got to be the third one. It pleases me in many ways. As a set, too, they compliment each other very nicely indeed. @JP Carpenter Dreamy!
Thanks for the macro appreciation, all. Been wanting to get into the whole macro thing for years, and finally being in the position to pick up a macro lens feels fantastic. As luck would have it, my thrice accursed fridge bargled up a couple more prime examples of why I probably shouldn't be living alone. Plus a perfectly good plum that just got caught up with the wrong crowd.
I haven't hauled my proper cameras out since i picked up an iphone. I will have to rectify that situation this weekend. In the meantime, camera phone fun:
Hey y'all, lovely work appearing as we round into actual warm weather months. One last stab at moody atmospherics before they are banished in favor of sunshine and nudity!
I bought a 5 dollar plate of welders glass at Home Depot and rubber banded it onto the front of my camera. Add tripod, cable release, and a bicycle trip round the city's circumference and you get this. Not bad results for being a factor of ten cheaper than the nearest equivalent at B&H, which is anyway shuttered while the angel of death passes over our heads and smites egyptian children.
