    The Carver movie theater. During segregation, it was blacks only. A friend who grew up in the projects that used to be across the street referred to it as "the ghetto daycare," as many parents would send their kids to the theater while they were out working. A community medical center was the last business to operate out of the building, but that didn't come back after the storm.

    My shot of a nepalese elephant's eye got selected for national geographic's 'daily dozen' feature! It's made my week (which has been an absolute shitstain). If any of you fine, lovely, generous folk feel like voting, there's a chance it'll make it into print, which would probably make my decade. It's the "voting machine" tab on the left. Cheers guys!

    @Dorkmuffin As a guy who made his living as a touring musician for a number of years, and has tons of photographer and musician friends (read inundated), even with the mic over eyeball I love shot 1, and really like shots 4 and 5.
    @manglr Love that helmet picture. That place must have been an awesome find.
    @Steve I already have Big sailor jerry ship tattoo, but i really want that resolution somewhere now.
    @Allana shot Something about shot 2 rocks my world. Using filters at all? I really like everything you've been posting lately.
    
    I could really comment on pretty much everything here. Tons of great stuff, and even some great growth lately. I lurk through this post consistently, so i may not comment a ton, but i am always looking through it all.
