@256 Love it. Looks like a photo out of the sixties @Dorkmuffin. Nice people studies. One of the aspects I find hardest about covering events is getting shots of people looking natural. @cjkoger Thanks!
@Steve I mean with with the greatest affection. I wish I could take that typewriter picture, travel back to 2004 - when I was still actively touring and playing music - and put out one last album with that as the cover.
@mangir Woosh. That's the sound of things flying over my head. *Scrabbles to google* which is really disappointing as my wife is a primary school teacher. Doh!
Thanks for the kind words, all. one more from the same day below.
@d'muf - i thought he looked familiar - maybe from a SPIT or something? fabulous us of natural (i speculate) light. @steve - a second round of applause for the chess/roses photo. lovely. what are you shooting with/on there?
Been seeing lots of wildlife lately, and my mom even had a chipmunk eat the banana right next to her while she was having tea. Sometimes it's nice to live out in the country.
@Trini Very cool shot. Yeah, we have 5 baby sparrows 2 feet from our back door. Watched them go from baby butt pink to fluff and feathers. The country can be fun at times.
Holy crap. Yet another thread where the talent on display is so far above me I can't even see where it comes from.
I'm not asking this because I'm planning on aping all your techniques (I don't have the eye or camera for that) but just because I'm a curious git.
Cropping/resizing aside, how many of you use some kind of...ha, don't know the proper technical term for it, sorry...some kind of "processing" once you get the pics home or onto whichever gadget you use to view them? I'm tempted to say "photoshopped" but, besides all the other image editing software out there, that term can be misinterpreted too easily. I don't care either way - stunningly gorgeous is still stunningly gorgeous, regardless of how it might've been manipulated before it hits my retinas.
Anyway, please keep up your awesome awesomeness while I shuffle back into awed lurkerhood.
